LGBTQ 101: Identities and Allyship
IN-PERSON Breakfast Meeting at Hampton Inn
This presentation will engage participants in a thorough overview of the LGBTQ+ community, and best practices for safety, inclusion and allyship of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities.
Attendees will:

Gain a deeper understanding of sexual orientation, sexual identity, gender identity, gender expression, and sex assigned at birth, the differences between them and how they impact one another.

Learn language and definition of terms associated with the LGBTQ+ community, including lesser known terminology, such as hetero-normativity, the gender/sex binary, and cis-normativity.

Learn strategies to rethink social norms and expectations surrounding sexuality and gender in our society.

Understand how LGBTQ+ individuals are impacted by bias and exclusion.
