    SHRM-WC actively promotes the professional advancement and development of its members by encouraging attendance at its monthly chapter meetings and promoting the advantages Human Resource certifications.

    In order to assist certified HR professionals meet recertification requirements, most SHRM-WC monthly meetings and Professional Development seminars qualify for recertification credit(s).

    Types of Certification

    Beginning in 2015, HR Professionals now have two different certification options from which to choose:

    SHRM - Society for Human Resource Management

    • SHRM-CP Certification (Certified Professional)
    • SHRM-SCP Certification (Senior Certified Professional)

    HRCI - Human Resource Certification Institute

    • PHR Certification - Professional in Human Resources
    • SPHR Certification - Senior Professional in Human Resources
    • GPHR Certification - Global Professional in Human Resources
